Mr. Tiernan is of counsel in the firm's Family Wealth & Estate Planning Department. He has been a general practice lawyer since 1973 with an emphasis on estate planning, estate administration and residential real estate.  From 1973 through 1979 Mr. Tiernan practiced at the firm of Frank, Garrity & Tiernan: from 1979 through 1986 as of counsel to Friedman & Michael, and from 1986 to 12/31/11 at Duffy & Tiernan, with Michael J. Duffy, Esq.

Community Involvement:

Mr. Tiernan is past secretary of Greece Little League Board and past president of St. Charles Borromeo Parish Council.

Bar Admissions:

Mr. Tiernan is admitted to practice in the Fourth Department, State of New York and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York.

Professional Affiliations:

Mr. Tiernan is a member of the Monroe County and New York State Bar Associations.

Other:

He has been a frequent speaker for the local advocacy groups for the disabled to advise about guardianship through the Monroe County Surrogate's Court and estate planning for disabled family members.
