Marcus W. Kroll is an associate in the firm and a member of the Family Wealth and Estate Planning Department.  He concentrates his practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Administration, Estate and Trust Litigation, Long Term Care Planning, Medicaid Planning, Special Needs Planning, Guardianships, adoptions, and Planning for unique family situations such as same-sex couples, LGBT clients, and second marriages.

Community Involvement:

Marcus is active in many LGBT organizations, including serving as pro-bono attorney for the Board of the Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley, a board member for the ImageOut Film Festival, a Council Member for Out & Equal New York Finger Lakes Workplace Advocates, and an annual member of the Empire State Pride Agenda Spring Dinner Committee. He is an active participant in local chapters of the PCA, BMWCCA, and SCCA.  He also provides pro-bono legal services for the Bushido-Kai Judo Club and serves on the Board for the Easter Seals New York Western Region.  He is an avid networker and a member of a local BNI chapter, Success Unlimited.

Mr. Kroll is admitted to practice in the State of New York.  He is a certified Guardian Ad Litem, Article 81 Guardian, Court Evaluator, Attorney for Alleged Incapacitated Persons, and Law Guardian/Attorney for the Child.

Mr. Kroll is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Monroe County Bar Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

Marcus is a frequent lecturer on timely and diverse topics, including speaking engagements with Business Networking International, MetLife, Mass Mutual, Out & Equal Workplace Advocates, Greece Adult Continuing Education, Pittsford Adult Continuing Education, Brighton Securities, the Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley, the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys, Monroe County Bar Association, the Rochester CPA Society, the Financial Planning Association of Rochester and the Estate Planning Council of Rochester.

He lives in Pittsford with his wife, son, daughter, and cats.  He is a life-long martial artist, world traveler, automobile enthusiast and race car driver.
