John K. McAndrew is a partner in the firm's Secured Lending and Financial Recovery Department, who concentrates his practice in workouts, foreclosures, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation. Mr. McAndrew represents creditors and special servicers in foreclosure matters throughout upstate New York and in bankruptcy matters in the Western and Northern Districts of New York.
Mr. McAndrew manages a consumer foreclosure and bankruptcy practice throughout Western and Northern Districts of New York State, providing timely and efficient service through an experienced staff and personal attention to client needs. He has successfully represented creditors and special servicers in foreclosures of multi-million dollar commercial properties, including hotels, office buildings, retail plazas and other businesses, throughout New York State and workout negotiations involving complex secured commercial loans.
Mr. McAndrew received his Juris Doctor degree from Cornell Law School in May 1990 with a concentration in Business Law and Regulation. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in May 1987 from the State University of New York, University Center at Binghamton.

He is admitted to practice law in New York State courts, the United States District Courts for the Western and Northern Districts of New York, and the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Western and Northern Districts of New York.
Professional Affiliations:
Mr. McAndrew is a member of both the Monroe County and the New York State Bar Associations and is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute.
Other:
He has lectured on foreclosures, bankruptcy and workouts for the New York State and Monroe County Bar Associations and to the local banking community. He was a featured speaker at the Annual Banking Law Seminar and at the Monroe County Bar Association Series on the new Bankruptcy Code and its impact on creditors. Mr. McAndrew is a contributing author to Real Estate Titles, the New York State Bar Association’s preeminent publication on the practice of Real Estate Law in New York State. Mr. McAndrew has provided commentary and advice to the New York State Bar Association on proposed legislation affecting foreclosure practice.
