At a Glance:

Jaime Michelle Andrews is a member of the commercial dept. She concentrates her practice in real estate and commercial litigation. Ms. Andrews has extensive experience in commercial collection cases and consumer collection cases dealing with FDCPA regulations.  Ms. Andrews is a supervising attorney for the collection department with over 12 collection staff members to ensure compliance with federal consumer laws.  In addition, she has extensive negotiation and settlement experience dealing with commercial and consumer litigation and contract disputes.  She also coordinates the landlord/tenant practice group and is proficient in commencing and defending residential and commercial summary proceedings for clients of the firm.

Ms. Andrews graduated cum laude from Syracuse University and received her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law, where she completed a corporate counsel certificate.

Representative Matters:

  • Represents largest property management group in Western New York in summary proceedings and litigation matters.
  • Coordinates landlord/tenant practice group for residential and mobile home park evictions.  
  • Successfully drafted and argued appeal to the fourth department appellate division on all counts in a labor law 191-c commissions dispute matter and obtained an extremely favorable decision for manufacture representative.

Community Involvement:

Ms. Andrews is actively involved with the Lawyers for Learning Mentoring Program and is a member of the Rochester Inns of Court.

Bar Admissions:

Ms. Andrews is admitted to practice in New York State Courts as well as the United States District Court for the Northern and Western Districts and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. 

Professional Affiliations:

She is a member of the New York State and Monroe County Bar Associations and does Pro Bono work through the Volunteer Legal Services Project, representing clients in commercial matters. She is also a member of the NARCA National Retail Collection Attorneys.
