At a Glance:

Amy R. Coté is Special Counsel in the firm's litigation department where she concentrates her practice in transportation related civil litigation. She also provides consulting services for clients with self-insured, self-administered workers' compensation and third-party claims programs. 

 

Before joining the firm,  Ms. Coté  was in-house counsel at the Rochester-Genesee Regional Transportation Authority.

 

Ms. Coté received her J.D. degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law and received special concentrations in community economic development and finance transactions.  She  attended the University of Wyoming and University at Albany receiving her B.A.  Magna Cum Laude.

 

In 2009, Ms. Coté  was recognized by the Daily Record Newspaper  as one  of Rochester’s  “Up and Coming Attorneys” which is an award that recognizes outstanding attorneys  in practice for less than 10 years.   In 2010 she was also honored by the Rochester Women’s Network  with its “Up & Coming Business Woman Award”. This award is bestowed upon women who have made remarkable accomplishments in their field. 

Community Involvement:

Ms. Coté provides pro bono legal services to the Rochester Birding Association.

Bar Admissions:

Ms. Coté is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the United States District Court for the Western District of New York.

Professional Affiliations:

Ms. Coté is a member of the New York State and Monroe County Bar Associations, the Greater Rochester Association of Women Attorneys (GRAWA), and the Rochester Women’s Network.
