René H. Reixach, Jr. is Co-Counsel in Successful Medicaid Case Win Against the State Of Maryland.

René H. Reixach, Jr. of Woods Oviatt acted as co-counsel along with Ron M. Landsman, Esq. of Rockville, MD. and Cy Smith and Bill Myer of Zuckerman Spaeder LLP in Baltimore in Smith v. Colmers.  

It holds that the State of Maryland was illegally failing to allow Medicaid recipients to apply outstanding medical and nursing home bills to reduce the ongoing amount they were obligated to pay for their nursing home care.  It is anticipated that ultimately tens of millions of dollars of benefits will have to be restored by Maryland back to 2002.
