This presentation will provide a general overview of the U.S. patent system including types of patents, what is patentable subject matter (including business methods following recent Supreme Court decision), how to determine if an invention is patentable, how to determine the right to use your invention (including learning about “dominating” patents), how to develop a patent strategy for your business (both proactive and defensive) and how to effectively monitor your competition and take appropriate action when necessary.
