The art of representing people

Rotation

The firm has numerous practice areas, for example: Business and Tax, Banking and Finance, Real Estate, Trusts & Estates, Litigation, Labor Law & Employment, Health Care, Environmental, and Creditor's Rights, but for administration purposes the Firm is organized into five formal departments: Estates, Business and Tax Services, Litigation, Real Estate and Commercial, each with its own Chairperson. Each summer associate is temporarily assigned, generally to two departments at any given time. It is intended that most of their work should come from the assigned departments during that time period. The summer associates rotate to another group of departments at regular intervals as the summer progresses. Each summer associate is provided his or her own office during each component of the rotation. Effort is made to physically locate the summer associate near those attorneys with whom they are currently working. This allows for the broadest possible exposure to the firm's practice areas, attorneys and staff, assists in integration and helps the Firm and the summer associates make an informed decision regarding hiring/acceptance of employment at the end of the program.
