Woods Oviatt Gilman LLP takes pride in our Western New York Roots

Woods Oviatt Gilman's long tradition of legal service and the historical ties with Western New York are a source of great pride within the firm. We are proud of our standing in the Rochester and Buffalo communities and of the clients that we serve.

Rochester, NY is well known for its history of being a leader in the film and imaging industries, but a town that is home to 13 colleges and universities including the Eastman School of Music offers a tremendous cultural life as well. And, we have beautiful waterfronts all around us. Situated on Lake Ontario with both a harbor and a beach within our city limits, Rochester is also within the Finger Lakes region of New York State.

Buffalo, NY the second largest city in the State of New York is home to some of America's great architecture, food, theater and educational Institutions. Buffalo is located on the waterfront of Lake Erie and is minutes from Canada, and Upstate New York is centrally located only hours away from Toronto, New York City, Boston, Pittsburgh and Cleveland.

Be part of a thriving community

Working in the Rochester and Buffalo, NY offices puts you in the heart of the community. Not just geographically, but in terms of what these communities stand for.
