Woods Oviatt hosts a private screening of "Bridge of Spies" and a presentation by Anthony Palermo, Esq., one of the 4 prosecuting attorneys in the Rudolf Abel Spy Trial.

Woods Oviatt Gilman LLP held a private screening of the movie “Bridge of Spies” at the Tinseltown Movie Theatre on October 22, 2015, in honor of Anthony Palermo, Esq. an Of Counsel Attorney with Woods Oviatt Gilman.Tony spoke of his involvement in the Rudolf Abel Spy Trial for which he was appointed as "Special Attorney", one of four prosecutors in the matter, by Assistant Attorney General William F. Tompkins, who headed the Internal Security Division of the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D. C. , who headed a four-lawyer team in 1957 assigned to the USDC in the EDNY (Brooklyn) to investigate, indict, try and convict the Soviet Master Spy known by many different cover names, including the false identity of Rudolf Ivanovich Abel, a deceased Soviet KGB Agent. Woods Oviatt attorneys, staff and friends of the firm enjoyed hearing Tony’s perspective on the case followed by a screening of the movie which stars Tom Hanks.
