Brian Capitummino and Katarina Polozie becomes Partners in Woods Oviatt Gilman LLP
Woods Oviatt Gilman LLP is pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2018, Brian J. Capitummino and Katarina B. Polozie will become Partners in the firm.
Brian Capitummino, Esq. of Penfield , is a member of the Litigation Department and concentrates his practice on the representation of companies, financial institutions and individuals involved in complex commercial litigation. He is experienced litigating cases involving the federal securities laws, contract disputes, fiduciary duties, fraud, tortious conduct, and internal corporate governance, as well as in government and regulatory investigations. Brian counsels clients in the development of risk management strategies and all phases of litigation from inception through appeal.
Prior to returning to his home community of Rochester and joining Woods Oviatt Gilman in 2014, Brian practiced at an international law firm in New York City. Brian received is J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law, his M.P.A. from Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs, and his B.A. from State University of New York at Geneseo.
Katarina Polozie, Esq. of Rochester, is a member of the firm's Business & Finance Department. Her practice is focused in the areas of business counseling, mergers & acquisitions, and venture capital. Ms. Polozie counsels a diverse range of businesses ranging from start-up ventures to multinational corporations across a spectrum of industries on general corporate and commercial matters, including corporate governance, entity formation and founders' agreements, venture capital transactions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions, and complex commercial agreements.
Prior to joining Woods Oviatt Gilman LLP, Ms. Polozie was a Partner at Potomac Law Group PLLC in Washington, D.C. and a Partner at McDermott, Will & Emery in Washington, DC. She received her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and her B.A.A. from Wellesley College, cum laude.
