Six Attorneys Join Woods Oviatt Gilman LLP

Woods Oviatt Gilman LLP is pleased to announce that Stephen Burke, Brian Capitummino, Thomas D'Antonio, Brendan Smith, Stefanie Tedesco and Jamie Winnick have all joined the firm as Associate attorneys.

Stephen Burke is an Associate in the firm and a member of the Litigation Department. He concentrates his practice in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation, and Personal Injury Litigation. Mr. Burke received his J.D. degree from Syracuse University College of Law, cum laude. Mr. Burke also holds a M.S. in Bioengineering from Syracuse University, and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University.

Brian Capitummino is an Associate in the Litigation Department and concentrates his practice on the representation of companies, financial institutions and individuals involved in complex commercial litigation. He is experienced litigating cases involving the federal securities laws, contract disputes, fiduciary duties, fraud, tortious conduct, and internal corporate governance, as well as in government and regulatory investigations. Brian counsels clients in the development of risk management strategies and all phases of litigation from inception through appeal. Prior to returning to his home community of Rochester and joining Woods Oviatt Gilman in 2014, Brian practiced at an international law firm in New York City. Brian received his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law, his M.P.A. from the Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs, and his B.A. from the State University of New York at Geneseo.

Thomas D'Antonio is an Associate in the firm and a member of the Family Wealth and Estate Planning Department. He concentrates his practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Administration, Long Term Care Planning, and Medicaid Planning. Mr. D'Antonio received his J.D. degree from the College of William and Mary School of Law, where he served as Associate Articles Editor for the William & Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review and was a member of the William & Mary School of Law Alternative Dispute Resolution Team. Mr. D'Antonio also holds a B.A. in both Political Science and Writing from Loyola University Maryland.

Brendan Smith is an Associate in the Secured Lending and Financial Recovery Department. He concentrates his practice in real estate litigation. Mr. Smith received his B.S. degree from Providence College and his J.D. degree from Suffolk University School of Law. During law school, he served as a judicial intern for the Honorable David G. Larimer in the Western District of New York, as well as the Honorable Marianne B. Bowler in the District of Massachusetts.

Stefanie Tedesco is an Associate in the firm's Real Estate Development & Finance Department. She concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial and residential real estate, and real estate financing. Ms. Tedesco received her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the College of the Holy Cross. She received her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Boston College Law School, where she was an editor of the Boston College Law Review.

Jamie Winnick is an Associate in the firm's Business & Finance Department. Ms. Winnick concentrates her practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and governance, corporate finance, securities law and other business-related legal matters. Ms. Winnick received her J.D., cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law, where she served as Form & Accuracy Editor for the Syracuse Law Review. She received B.A. degrees in both Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Delaware, where she was an active member of the University of Delaware Equestrian Team.
