to Install Jacqueline P. Flug, Esq. as President in
St. Pete Beach, Florida.

The Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY) is pleased to announce that its 2016 Convention will take place on June 2-5, 2016 at the Loews Don CeSar Hotel, St. Pete Beach, Florida.

The Keynote Speaker is Deborah N. Archer, Esq., Professor of Law, Co-Director of the Impact Center for Public Interest Law and Dean of Diversity and Inclusion at New York Law School.

At Convention, WBASNY’s 2016-2017 Officers will be installed:

President – Jacqueline P. Flug (Bronx); President-Elect – Amy Baldwin Littman, Esq. (Rockland); Vice Presidents - Deirdre Hay, Esq. (Finger Lakes); Leyla Kiosse, Esq. (Capital District); Greta K. Kolcon, Esq. (Rochester); Corresponding Secretary – Amy Saltzman (New York); Recording Secretary – Kelly A. Pressler, Esq. (Orange-Sullivan); and Treasurer – Lourdes M. Ventura, Esq. (Queens).

Tribute also will be paid to WBASNY’s 2016 Award Recipients as follows:

Doris S. Hoffman Medal (for exceptional leadership and service to women lawyers in New York State) - Sandra C. Katz, Esq.; Joan L. Ellenbogen Founders Award (for work advancing the status of women in society and the law) – Martha E. Gifford, Esq.; Marilyn R. Menge Award (for valuable and significant contributions to a chapter or statewide organization) – Robin S. Abramowitz, Esq.; Hanna S. Cohn Pro Bono Award (for contributions of pro bono legal services) – Barbara J. Orenstein, Esq.; Doris S. Hoffman Outstanding New Lawyer Award (for bar member of less than five years and who has made outstanding achievements within the profession or within member's community or both) - Stefanie A. Schera-Kocovic, Esq.; and the Judith S. Kaye Access to Justice Award (for current or former State or Federal public sector employee who has ensured equal access to justice) – Chery Meyers Buth, Esq.
