Bernard Schenkler is Of Counsel to firm's Litigation Department. He has a background in business and commercial litigation and business torts, and has represented creditors, debtors and trustees in bankruptcy matters including Chapter 11 and objections to discharge. He filed one of the few Chapter 15 international bankruptcy proceedings in Western District of New York. He has also defended accountant malpractice actions. His publications include "Probate and Bankruptcy" in the Journal of Bankruptcy Law and Practice, and he is a contributor of seminar materials for the annual Western New York Bankruptcy Conference.

Mr. Schenkler is admitted to practice in New York, United States District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts for Western, Northern, Eastern and Southern District of New York, the Second and Third Circuit Courts of Appeal, United States Supreme Court, District of Columbia and New Jersey state and federal courts.
Mr. Schenkler is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Erie County Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, District of Columbia Bar and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
In service to his community, Mr. Schenkler is President of Congregation Havurah of Buffalo, a member of the Yom HaShaoh Remembrance Committee of the Holocaust Resource Center of Buffalo, and Chairman of the Western New York Accordion Club in Batavia.
