Mr. Bonsignore is Of Counsel in the Real Estate Department. He concentrates his practice in the specific area of transactional real estate, having represented clients throughout his career in residential and commercial purchase/sale, lending, and development/land use transactions. Mr. Bonsignore's practice also includes client representation in environmental law matters, including the preparation of planning and zoning applications, management of environmental quality review, and representation of clients before municipal boards and commissions. His appellate work includes successful argument before the New York Appellate Division. Mr. Bonsignore regularly represents both local and national clients in these areas of practice throughout the greater Rochester area.

Most recently he has been active in commercial real estate acquisition and financing, representing commercial property owners in in the development of multi-family, retail and mixed-use properties. He is also a signatory title insurance agent for multiple title insurance agencies and is well practiced in examining and finalizing real estate title.

Prior to joining Woods Oviatt, Mr. Bonsignore was a partner with Fix Spindelman Brovitz & Goldman PC. Before that he was with Ebersol & McCormick, LLC in Torrington, Connecticut and with the Law Office of Franklin G. Pilicy, P.C. in Watertown, Connecticut. In his Connecticut practice, Mr. Bonsignore represented multiple municipalities and both local and national lenders. In his litigation practice, he successfully argued before the Connecticut Appellate Court and was the first attorney in Connecticut to argue a case of first impression (regarding the legislative interpretation of recent statutory changes concerning the removal of fiduciaries) and prevail on the merits.
